Areas of work

The KOFAP programme has been established in 2020, the same year which marked the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF), a document unanimously adopted by FAO members in 1995 to set the principles and standards for the sustainable use of fish and fishery resources. Since then, FAO has been actively working on this, supporting the development of several international instruments to address all emerging challenges that threaten the sustainable use of fishery resources.

Within this context, the work of KOFAP and all related projects aims at

achieving a more sustainable, innovative and collaborative fisheries and aquaculture sector
