Project Inception Workshop on Smart and Sustainable Aquaculture through Effective Biosecurity and Digital Technology

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO); the Ministry of Fisheries of Sri Lanka are jointly launching a Project Inception Workshop on Smart and Sustainable Aquaculture through Effective Biosecurity and Digital Technology.
Through an in-depth presentation of the SAB projects this workshop will raise the awareness on how an effective biosecurity governance and digital technology within the aquaculture sector can improve the biosecurity monitoring process and the sustainable production.
The workshop will also explore how SAB will be implemented in Sri Lanka by increasing the understanding of the country shrimp aquaculture sector, its governance structure with respect to aquaculture, health management and food safety data.
The meeting will be held in physical mode in Colombo, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, 8-10 November 2022.
