Mozambique Site Inception Workshop on Fisheries Co-management Capacity Development for Blue Communities
Following the validation workshop held in Ponta do Ouro, Mozambique, in June 2022, which highlighted the challenges and opportunities for fisheries co-management and fishing communities’ livelihoods, The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO); the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea are launching a Site Inception Workshop on Fisheries Co-management Capacity Development for Blue Communities: Sustainable Fisheries and Diverse Livelihoods.
The aim of this workshop is that of bringing together stakeholders representing different interests around fisheries co-management and livelihoods in Vilankulo by introducing them the SFC project in detail, identifying the relevant stakeholders for the SFC implementation at site level, assessing fisheries co-management and livelihoods activitiesand finalizing the action planat site level.
The meeting will be held in Vilankulo, Mozambique on 16 November 2022 from 10:00 to 16:00.
Translation service will be provided during the meeting when needed, from Portuguese to English and from English to Portuguese.
