The World Food Day youth action campaign is out and we are counting on your support to make this a success!
Youth Poster Contest Calling all young people aged 5-19. Design a poster of your favourite dish or recipe that represents the importance of diverse, nutritious, safe, affordable and sustainable foods. Take a look at the Poster Contest web page for more information on how to join. The deadline for entries is on 8 November 2024! Get inspiration from the WFD Activity Book below. To support you in promoting the Poster Contest, a WFD Youth Flyer and letter to educators have been added to the WFD Digital Media Hub (more languages coming soon).
Youth Activity Books · WFD Activity Book “Right to foods” - The right to food means we should all be able to enjoy nutritious food so that we can grow and live an active life. With this year's World Food Day Activity Book, explore the importance of food as a human right and healthy diets, the global challenges that impact our food systems, and the solutions that rely on our actions. No matter our age, each of us can learn how our choices can contribute to a world where everyone has enough diverse, nutritious, affordable, safe and sustainable foods, leaving no one behind. · 5+ Junior Activity Book “Story of a t-shirt” - Food hero and sustainable fashion activist, Matteo Ward brings young people on a journey into the world of clothing and textiles, many of which originate in fields and pastures in this new junior storytelling edition of the activity book. Through interactive activities and colourful illustrations, young readers will discover how our favourite garments originate from agriculture and the importance of caring for the natural resources involved in their creation. The guide also provides strategies for proposing mutually beneficial exchanges of visibility.
