The Sustainable School Feeding Network (RAES) presented its experiences on strenghtening school feeding programmes in LAC countries.

The Sustainable School Feeding Network (RAES), created by the Brazilian government in collaboration with FAO, aims to support countries in implementing and consolidating their school feeding and nutrition programs.

The project in the framework of the Brazil-FAO International Cooperation Program aims to enhance food security and reduce poverty in the region.

Study will be finished in the coming months and other countries can participate in 2025.

Launched by the Brazilian government and FAO, the network now includes 16 countries, which will work together to promote the right to adequate food for millions of students.

More than 200 specialists from Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and other countries in the region took part in a training session organized by the Brazil-FAO International Cooperation, focused on adapted technologies to tackle water scarcity in agriculture.
