WaPOR was showcased in the webinar “The role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in water conservation in agriculture management”, organized by IWMI on 19 October 2020 at the “Cairo Water Week” as a tool to support decision makers in facing the global environmental challenges. Indeed, due to the high population growth and scarcity of arable land and water resources in the Middle East and North Africa region, most of agricultural development and food production policies and strategies are focusing on increasing water productivity to achieve food security.
