WaPOR, remote sensing for water productivity

Adding more of Copernicus data in WaPOR

10/06/2020

The European Space Agency (ESA) is supporting the development of methodologies to monitor evapotranspiration using a combination of Copernicus satellites (mainly Sentinel 2 and 3). As part of this effort, after the successful conclusion of Sen-ET project, ESA is funding the new project “Increasing crop water use efficiency at multiple scales using sentinel evapotranspiration – ET4FAO” which aims at testing use of Copernicus data sources in the FAO WaPOR methodology.

More information about the ET4FAO project is available here.
