FAO DG QU Dongyu calls attention to the importance of monitoring water productivity in agriculture in his video message for the World Water Day 2020.

In the video message for the International Water Day 2020 on “Water and climate change”, FAO Director General QU Dongyu highlighted FAO’ support to members states in monitoring their water productivity. “We use innovative Satellite Remote Sensing technologies to evaluate water use in agriculture almost real time. FAO publishes this information in the Open Access Water Productivity Portal”.
