On-the-job training series in Jordan, second session

In January 2024, the FAO, in collaboration with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), conducted the second on-the-job training of the series on the use of WaPOR data for irrigation performance assessment in the north Jordan Valley. Nine technical staff from the Jordan Valley Authority and the Ministry of Agriculture participated. This second training consisted of two main parts. The first was on downloading WaPOR data using the FAO downloader QGIS plugin, which was done through a practical exercise. The second part included another exercise on processing and analyzing water consumption using WaPOR data for different years and across multiple scales for the North Jordan Valley.
