pyWaPOR training in Tando Jam, Pakistan

Between 17 and 20 January 2023, Bert Coerver an expert on remote sensing from the FAO WaPOR team led a 4-day training workshop in Tando Jam at the Sindh Agriculture University.
During this training, participants learned to estimate evapotranspiration using pyWaPOR with the aim of contributing to the improvement of water management and the development of a climate resilient approach to agriculture in the the Indus Basin.
Two articles have been released in the Pakistani media that elaborate more on the training and its context: one in the The Nation and another in the Sindh Courier.
The FAO office in Pakistan also wrote an article about the training.
