WaPOR, remote sensing for water productivity

REGISTER to participate in the Copernicus Land User Event

16/11/2022
On 17-18 November 2022, a hybrid event hosted by the Copernicus land monitoring service (CLMS) will take place both online and in Brussels to offer users of its products the opportunity to get updates about the data, to attend demo sessions aimed at learning how to use it, to provide feedback to the CLMS which will facilitate future improvements and to network. 🌢 Recognizing the importance of monitoring water consumption, the CLMS is looking into options and operational approaches for adding a global evapotranspiration (ET) product to their portfolio. The experience gained through WaPOR and through the ET4FAO projects will be shared during the event to inform the discussion on the requirements for such product and currently available operational products, such as WaPOR ET. The WaPOR project's technical officer, Livia Peiser, will therefore be in attendance to the event in Brussels to present on "current applications and demand for a global evapotranspiration product". The session will take place on day 2, 18 November, between 11:10 and 11:30. Additionally, WaPOR land cover data at 250 and 100m resolution are based on the Copernicus Land cover map, so WaPOR will be also present as a user of CLMS data. >>> The full agenda is available at this LINK. If you would like to attend this event, it is unfortunately too late to register to be there in person, but it is not too late to register for virtual attendance. >>> You can find out more and register through this LINK.
