Release of WaPOR Version 1.0

Version 1.0 of WaPOR, FAO’s portal to monitor Water Productivity through Open access of Remotely sensed derived data, is now available. This new version is the result of a review process held during the whole year 2017 which lead to the formulation of WaPOR Version 1.0, including the updated methodology and the updated portal and functionalities. This review process included, on the one hand, feedbacks and comments from WaPOR users all over the world and project team members on the user interface of the portal and on the content. On the other hand, two independent evaluations of the accuracy of the data have been carried out on the different data components by IHE-Delft and by ICT-Twente, the Netherlands, to feed the beta version internal review process.
