WaPOR at the COP27

The 27th ‘Conference of the Parties’ took place this year at Sharm El Sheikh, in Egypt, between 6 to 18 November 2022. On the 14th, WaPOR participated virtually to a session of the food systems pavilion titled "EMBRACE sustainable water and aquatic blue food diversity for climate smart food systems" where the project's technical officer, Livia Peiser, briefly introduced the database to the attendees of the session. The pavilion's directive line this year was "accelerating action on food for people and the planet" and this session on water highlights how important it is that we think of this resources as we conceptualize agricultural and food systems that are resilient in the face of climate change.
