WaPOR at the International Conference “Artificial Intelligence, food for all”

WaPOR was presented during the International Conference “Artificial Intelligence (AI), food for all” organized by the Rome call signatories - FAO, the Pontifical Academy for Life, IBM and Microsoft - on 24 September 2020. The global partnership between the Rome Call signatories is focused on an ethical approach to provide concrete and ethically-founded solutions to the agri-food sector, in a context marked by COVID-19 that can seriously affect food security and nutrition. During the conference, Jippe Hoogeveen, Senior Officer of the FAO Land and Water Division, showcased WaPOR as a concrete example of using artificial intelligence to support decision makers in facing the global environmental challenges and to help farmers produce more nutritious food with less water.a
