Renforcement des capacités liées aux accords multilatéraux sur l'environnement dans les pays d'Afrique, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique (AME ACP 3)

10 June 2022 | 14:00 – 16:30 CEST (closed)

The European Union funded project “Building capacity related to Multilateral Environmental Agreements in African, Caribbean and Pacific countries (ACP MEAs 3)” is organizing a webinar to review the current status of the draft Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).

The webinar will focus on the post-2020 global biodiversity framework targets that are of most relevance to agricultural biodiversity. It provides the opportunity to strengthen the understanding of the GBF as it relates to agrobiodiversity and improve the capacity of negotiators and national focal points from the ACP countries that are involved in the implementation of biodiversity-related MEAs.

The expected outcomes of this webinar include:

  • An increased understanding and improved national capacities in support of the GBF negotiations and of the framework’s future implementation
  • Increased collaboration between the agricultural and environmental sectors that are responsible for the implementation of biodiversity cluster MEAs, including the Convention on Biological Diversity
