07/07/2020

For the second consecutive year, FAO experts delivered a lecture about responsible investment in agriculture and food systems (RAI) to students of the Master’s on Food Law at LUISS Guido Carli University.

The students had the opportunity to get familiar with the main global trends affecting the agri-food sector, the increasing importance of RAI to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and how FAO works with different parties to apply the CFS Principles for Responsible Investment in Agriculture and food systems.

Watch our colleague Yannick Fiedler give an overview of the main concepts related to responsible investment in agriculture and explaining why they must increase in order to achieve the SDGs by 2030.

Watch our colleague Emma Mcghie explain what are the CFS Principles for Responsible Investment in Agriculture and Food Systems, endorsed by the Committee on World Food Security in 2014, and FAO support to countries to put the CFS RAI into action at the country level.
