SAMIS experts help developing the national investment pipeline to implement NDC priorities in agriculture
Lao PDR is signatory of the Paris Agreement since the April 2016. Prior to that, the country submitted the list of Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). The NDC list has been recently revised and approved by the Department of Climate Change.
Under regional Technical Cooperation Project TCP/RAS/3604, the country seek to identify technical, institutional and financial needs to develop investment pipelines to support implementation of NDC priorities for the agriculture sectors.
Various SAMIS experts participated to the meeting and contributed to the activities through presentations or facilitating the working groups. Investment gaps and needs for the type of investment required, geographic target areas and scale of investment have been defined.
