Field visit to improve the use of LaCSA use in Luang Namtha
The mission visited Farmer Field Schools members in Patoy and Namthoung village, discussed with DAFO about activities and trained farmers’ readers on reading LaCSA bulletin through loudspeakers by a journalist of the Lao National Radio, Mr Pongtay Chaleusouk. The mission worked with village heads and farmers readers at Poung and May villages to use the new version of LaCSA and trained farmers’ readers on how to read weekly bulletin through loudspeakers by national radio journalist.
Mr Oloth Sengtaheuanghoung, SAMIS agronomist who is often working in the field, observed that the LaCSA is crop management and farmers improving climate resilience. Dr Monica Petri, SAMIS Project Coordinator and the Deputy Director-General of DALAM, Mr Anolath Chanthavongsa, were impressed by the project's success.
