External review focusing on field activities
During the last two weeks, the External Review team has been focusing on the field activities of SAMIS, and have visited Luang Namtha, Savannakhet and Saravan.
In Sing and Namtha, the visits have included SAMIS weather stations and SAMIS villages, including these implementing farmer field schools and loudspeackers.
In Saravan, the team has been in contact with local stations, SAMIS villages and with the school poster programme developed in collaboration with WFP.
Finally, the villages and weather stations in Savannakhet have been visited, including stations that have been setup by cofinancing budget through the support of the Mekong Lakang financing to the government.
In the Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment, the team also meet with the NAFRI that was undertaking a training to DAFO and DONRE officers from various southern provinces.
