Side event 1- Leveraging synergies on nature-based solutions and climate action for NDC and NAP implementation in agrifood systems

This event, co-organized by FAO and UNDP under the SCALA programme, brings together representatives from government, civil society, the private sector, and the donor community to explore synergies between nature-based solutions and climate adaptation for effective NDC and NAP implementation in agrifood systems.

Discussions will emphasize the importance of integrated approaches to address climate impacts on biodiversity, share country-level insights on protecting ecosystems, and examine ways to scale up nature-based adaptation solutions for achieving climate and biodiversity goals.

Side event 2- Accelerating climate action in agriculture and land use: The Climate Action Review (CAR) Tool

This event is co-organized by FAO and UNDP under the SCALA programme to officially launch and present the Climate Action Review (CAR) Tool. The CAR Tool helps countries identify and prioritize transformative climate solutions in agrifood systems, supporting the transition from planning to implementation.

The session will include demonstrations of the tool's application, featuring real-world examples from countries that have already used it. Participants will also have the opportunity to interact with the tool and discuss challenges and successes, offering valuable insights for scaling up climate action.
