In Lao PDR, the TAP-AIS project is implemented by the National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute (NAFRI), Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) and FAO in collaboration with relevant MAF’s departments and ministries. Based on experience and lesson learned from CDAIS, the project focuses on involving relevant national organization and supporting agriculture innovation systems (AIS) through applying tools and methodologies of the TAP Common Framework to assess the AIS, to identify and address capacity needs and gaps as well as strengthening functional capacity of key organizations and enabling environment. The project supports collaboration and synergies among the different AIS actors by engaging them in different activities such as policy dialogue and innovation fair.
