Thirty-two professional experts from the different national and international institutions participated in the First Nexus Dialogue workshop, to assess Water Sustainability using a Water-Food-Energy-Climate-Ecosystems Nexus analytical framework.

Al Mashare’- NJV

A total of 25 participants attended a training of facilitators workshop for the FFS’s in Jordan.

Dead Sea

Thirty-two qualified staff and agricultural engineers from the different national directorates of each beneficiary country of the project (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia) participated in a training on Water Productivity analyses using WaPOR dataset.

Twenty-five qualified staff and agricultural engineers from the different national directorates of each beneficiary country of the project (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia) participated in a regional training on crop mapping using remote sensing.

The Second ‘Nexus Dialogue’ workshop was implemented. Twenty-six professional experts from the different national and international institutions participated in the workshop.

Dead Sea

Eighteen extension personnel  from the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture were trained on Farmers Field School (FFS) methodology  in Jordan.

A two-day workshop on Rapid Water Accounting and Advanced Water Accounting was implemented, where 28 participants attended.

National water Auditing “Water Governance Analysis” virtual training was conducted, 42 participants from Jordan and Palestine attended.

A two-day virtual workshop under the title of final Nexus training and results (strategy assessment) was conducted.

A two-days physical training on water accounting for the water accounting team at ministry of water and irrigation (MWI) was conducted, where six participants form the MWI attended.

The FFS third season was launched in Al Mashare area.  Around thirty farmers attended the launching in the presence of FAO Jordan representative, the ministry of agriculture, Jordan Valley Authority, and water user association pump No. 33.
