Water efficiency, productivity and sustainability in the NENA regions (WEPS-NENA)

Water Accounting in Use webinar series

Water accounting helps to identify sustainable boundary of water consumption, and critical points in the water management where actions would have the most impact. This training was proposed in the context of the global water accounting partnership that is formed by FAO, IHE- Delft, IWMI, ICID and DWFI and implemented by the regional project on “implementing the 2030 agenda for water efficiency/productivity and sustainability in the NENA region (NENA-WEPS)” under the Near East and North Africa Water scarcity initiative led by FAO. The NENA WEPS project promotes the use of water accounting to inform strategic planning and realized the need for most countries to clarify the basic concepts of water accounting.
