More effective and sustainable investments in water for poverty reduction

National dialogue

A continuous and consultative process with the project’s partners is an essential part of the project. This enhances the existing dialogue platforms to raise awareness and provide recommendations to donors, policymakers, the private sector, communities and individual farmers in prioritizing and planning water-related interventions in support of smallholder farmers. This is made taking into account the diversity and complexity of the livelihood contexts, and tailoring interventions to rural population priorities. This process, which follows a specific methodology, supports the adoption of successful approaches to the selected agricultural water management investments, and also serves to share and exchange information across countries.
