FAO organised the fifth annual meeting of all the members of the Indian Network for Fishery and Animals Antimicrobial Resistance (INFAAR) on December 06, 2022 at Kolkata. The meeting was chaired by Dr BN Tripathy, Deputy Director General - Animal Sciences, the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). Dr Ashok Kumar, Assistant Director General, ICAR and Dr Jyoti Misri, Principal Scientist, ICAR also attended this meeting.

All members of INFAAR presented the technical work done by them during the past year. Discussions on technical, administrative and financial issues resulted in clarity on the future work plan of INFAAR.

The Chairperson appreciated the sustained support provided by FAO to the INFAAR. FAO also appreciated the quantum of quality work done by INFAAR and assured continuation of its support as per its mandate and availability of resources.
