This document is the final report of the Ninth Session of the Committee for Inland Fisheries of Africa, which was held in Harare, Zimbabwe, from 5 to 9 December 1994. Major topics discussed were: African inland fisheries, aquaculture and the environment, code of conduct for responsible fishing with special reference to inland fisheries and aquaculture in Africa, fisheries research needs in inland fisheries and aquaculture, intersessional activities, review of FAO field programme in inland fisheries in Africa, collaboration with other organizations concerned with inland fisheries development in Africa, and the main subject for discussion at the Tenth Session. The main decisions, directives and recommendations are listed in Appendix E.
Le présent document est le rapport final adopté par le Comité des pêches continentales pour l'Afrique à sa neuvième session, tenue a Harare (Zimbabwe) du 5 au 9 décembre 1994. Les principaux thèmes abordés ont été les suivants: sur l'environnement, les pêches continentales et l'aquaculture en Afrique, code de conduite pour une pêche responsable, eu égard notamment aux pêches continentales et à l'aquaculture, besoin de la recherche sur les pêches continentales et l'aquaculture en Afrique, activités dans l'intervalle des sessions, examen du programme de terrain de la FAO sur les pêches continentales en Afrique, collaboration entre la FAO et d'autres organisations s'intéressant au développement des pêches continentales en Afrique et principal thème de discussion à la dixième session du Comité.
