The 27th Tehran International Book Fair was held at Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran during 30 April to 10 May 2014, in which a number of UN Agencies in the Islamic Republic of Iran including FAO, UNDP, UNHCR, UNIC, UNODC and WFP participated.

The event had wide media exposure, in which numerous national and international publishers as well as the embassies and international organizations were present. The estimation of the number of the visitors was 500,000 people on a daily basis.

FAO, as a usual practice, had an active participation in the Book Fair, providing general information on variety subjects related to FAO Priorities, Food Security, Water Scarcity and Family Farming for a vast range of visitors visiting the FAO booth every day.
