The Government of Belize, with the support of FAO, the Mesoamerican Hunger Free programme and the Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AMEXCID), embarks on a mission to revamp its school feeding programme through an Exchange of Experiences on School Feeding Programmes in Guatemala.

As Belize works to strengthen its School Feeding Programme, several representatives from the Government of Belize undertook a visit to Guatemala to learn more about its School Feeding Programme and to visit a Sustainable School Feeding Model in the northwestern Department of San Marcos. The representative also had the opportunity to understand the role of parliamentarians in the process of implementation and scaling-up and be familiar with the requirements and steps considered by Guatemala to establish their national Parliamentary Front against Hunger and get parliamentarians committed to the process.
