「世界の食料安全保障と栄養の現状（SOFI）」は5つの国連機関（国連食糧農業機関（FAO）、国際農業開発基金（IFAD）、国連児童基金（UNICEF）、国連世界食糧計画（WFP）、世界保健機関（WHO））が共同で作成する主要年次報告書です。毎年、世界の飢餓の撲滅、食料安全保障の達成、および栄養の改善に向けた進捗状況をモニターし、分析します。また、持続可能な開発のための2030アジェンダにおけるSDGsのターゲット2.1および2.2を達成するための、主要な課題について詳細に分析します。
2024年版報告書のテーマは「飢餓、食料不安、あらゆる形の栄養不良をなくすための資金調達」です。食料安全保障と栄養のための資金調達における現状や不足を探るとともに、食料不安や栄養不良の主な要因に対処し、SDGsのターゲット2.1および2.2の達成に必要な農業・食料システムの変革に向けた、革新的な資金調達の選択肢に関する指針を提供します。
本報告書の主要なメッセージは、2024年7月15日に米国ニューヨークの持続可能な開発に関するハイレベル政治フォーラム（HLPF）において、世界に向けて発表されました。さらに、7月24日にブラジルのリオデジャネイロの会合にて、報告書全文が発表されます。日本では7月30日にオンラインにて日英両言語での発表イベントを開催します。

The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2024 (SOFI 2024): Japan Launch
The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World (SOFI) is an annual flagship report jointly prepared by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Every year, it monitors and analyses the world’s progress towards ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition. It also provides in-depth analysis on key challenges for meeting SDG Targets 2.1 and 2.2 in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The 2024 report’s theme “Financing to end hunger, food insecurity and all forms of malnutrition” explores current levels and gaps in financing for food security and nutrition and provides guidance on innovative financing options to address the major drivers of food insecurity and malnutrition and the agrifood systems transformation needed to meet SDG Targets 2.1 and 2.2.
The key messages of the report was presented globally in the margins of the United Nations High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in New York, United States of America on 15 July. Furthermore, the full report will be launched in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 24 July. In Japan, a virtual launch event will take place on 30 July, with simultaneous interpretation in Japanese and English.
