The World Water Day is held annually on the 22nd of March 2019 to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The objective of the forum is to identify concrete - practical, innovative and collaborative - solutions to address water scarcity in agriculture in a changing climate.

With a focus on Small Island Developing States and West African countries, the forum is expected to illustrate how water scarcity in agriculture can be addressed and turned into an opportunity for sustainable development, food and nutrition security.
