Join the COAG29 Side-Event: "A Global Dialogue on Water Tenure for Agrifood Systems and Food Security: Progress since COAG 28", 1 October 2024, 12:15 (CEST)

The 28th Session of the Committee on Agriculture (COAG) recommended FAO to undertake an assessment of existing water tenure arrangements and initiate a Global Dialogue on Water Tenure. This side-event, organized on 1 October 2024 from 12:15 to 13:45 (CEST) at FAO Headquarters and online, in the framework of COAG29, will feature the progress made since this 2022 mandate, including recent results of water tenure assessments and the engagement in the Global Dialogue.

During the event, FAO will also launch an innovative water tenure assessment methodology. Water tenure assessments provide stakeholders with crucial data to inform policy decisions and legislative reforms, support advocacy at all levels, and track national progress towards development and climate goals.
