The new IMI-SDG6 website is online: learn more on water stress and water use efficiency

The Integrated Monitoring Initiative for Sustainable Development Goal 6 (IMI-SDG6) has launched a new project website to host the project’s activities and methodological resources.

IMI-SDG6 was established at the beginning of the 2030 Agenda period, to accelerate the achievement of SDG 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. FAO is one of the initiative’s partners and the custodian agency responsible for monitoring target 6.4 that aims at “substantially increase water-use efficiency across all sectors and ensure sustainable withdrawals and supply of freshwater to address water scarcity and substantially reduce the number of people suffering from water scarcity by 2030”.

At FAO, the IMI-SDG6 team supports countries to monitor, analyze and use SDG 6.4 data, for better policy-decisions and investments.

To this end, the initiative creates guides, organizes trainings, develops methodology for contextualized and disaggregated data and information that can be found in the new website available HERE.
