LEGN, in collaboration with ESA, organized a two-day workshop on the legal and operational aspects of contract farming in Belmopan, Belize on October 22-23, to strengthen Belize’s approach to managing contractual arrangements between agricultural producers and buyers, and to promote more inclusive, equitable and effective trade in the country. Following the workshop and stakeholder consultations, LEGN in collaboration with the Belizean government is currently working on revising the national legal framework for contract farming.
