New self-paced course for the general public: "Adequate food: a right for all"

13/12/2021

In the context of Human Rights Day, the Legal Services for Development (LEGN) of FAO’s Legal Office and the Núcleo de Capacitación en Políticas Públicas launch the free and public course “Adequate food: a right for all”.

What is the right to food? How does it relate to other human rights? What are the States' obligations regarding this right? What is the role that each of us has in the enjoyment of this right? These are some of the questions that will be answered in this course, open to the general public. Its main objective is to deliver fundamental knowledge about the right to adequate food and to empower the different interested stakeholders. The course will show examples of how the right to food is taken into practice in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The course is available in Spanish and it lasts approximately ten (10) hours. It is free, self-paced and the students will be able to take it according to their own times and availability. At the end of the course, students will be able to obtain a certificate by approving a multiple-choice questionnaire evaluation.
