In August, Moroccan Locust (DMA) life cycle came to an end in Central Asian countries as well as in Azerbaijan. Italian Locust (CIT) mating occurred in Armenia while adults were disappearing in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. CIT egg-laying was in progress in Georgia as well as in Kazakhstan and Russia, where flights were reported. Dense adult groups of Asian Migratory Locust (LMI) formed in Kazakhstan and Russia. Locust control operations were completed in all Caucasian and Central Asian countries, where more than 4.9 million hectares were treated during the 2015 campaign.
