NotesUNITED STATES / CHINA bilateral trade measures (United States): In compliance with the recently signed phase one agreement, on 14 February, the U.S. Government cut by half its retaliatory tariffs on selected Chinese goods. Furthermore, with regard to Chinas agreed purchases of U.S. goods and services, senior government officials reckoned that, due to the coronavirus outbreak, Chinas purchases could proceed at a slower pace than originally planned.
