DescriptionEnforced the new tariff on US bovine meat according to the US-Japan trade agreement signed in September 2019 and approved in December 2019. Japan will gradually lower the tariff on US bovine meat from 38.5 to 9 percent, making tariff rates on US bovine meat equivalent to the revised tariff rates applicable for the 11 nations in the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement.
