NotesMEXICO pesticide regulation (glyphosate): In August, the President of Mexico announced that the use of glyphosate a herbicide widely used in soybean cultivation would be gradually phased out by late 2024 due to safety concerns. Reportedly, the Federal Ministries of Environment and Agriculture and Rural Development are working jointly to establish a schedule for the chemicals gradual withdrawal. The herbicides use will be prohibited within government agencies and projects with immediate effect.
