NotesUNITED STATES OF AMERICA – import measures (palm oil): Following investigations into alleged labour abuses, in December, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a withhold release order that allows the agency to detain shipments of palm oil and palm oil products originating from a specific supplier in Asia. An analogous measure concerning another Asian palm oil supplier was reported in September (see MPPU Nov.’20).
