DescriptionAnnounced the lifting of the cap on bovine meat exports at 50 percent of normal volumes, which the Government imposed under the national Decree 408/2021 on 22 June 2021. The removal of the cap allows exporters to begin shipments of bovine meat products derived from older cows, which are typically used for manufactured bovine meat, although the existing restrictions on exports of higher quality cuts remain in place. The Decree followed the suspension of bovine meat exports for 30 days on 19 May 2021.
