DescriptionAnnounced that the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana programme would be implemented for an additional five months. The Government would allocate an additional 10.169 million tonnes of rice and 9.709 million tonnes of wheat from its reserves for the purpose. The supplies would go to offer 800 million people covered by the National Food Security Act (NFSA) a per person monthly ration of 5 kg of rice or wheat, free of cost and on top of existing assistance under the NFSA, until November 2021.
