DescriptionFollowing an investigation of digital services taxes imposed by various countries, including India, announced the imposition of an additional import duty of 25 percent on husked basmati rice and other products originating in India. At the same time, it deferred the enactment of said additional duty by 180 days, in order to allow time for multilateral negotiations on international taxation issues to be concluded.
