DescriptionIncreased wheat procurement targets for the Punjab Food Department and the Pakistan Agricultural Storage & Services Corporation (PASSCO) by 1 million tonne and 500 000 tonnes, respectively, after reaching their wheat procurement target at 1.2 million tonnes and 3.5 million tonnes, respectively, at the end of April. The measure aims to build strategic reserves and stabilize the local wheat market.
