DescriptionApproved the fifth round of implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana programme, with a 16.3 million tonne grain allocation. Accordingly, it would continue offer 800 million people covered by the National Food Security Act (NFSA) a per person monthly ration of 5 kg of rice or wheat, free of charge and on top of existing assistance under the NFSA, between December 2021 and March 2022.
