DescriptionAccording to press reports, announced that it would provide MYR 262 (USD 60) million to help farmers cope with increases in prices of fertilizers and pesticides. MYR 62 (USD 14 million) of this amount would be channelled to rice producers through the National Farmers Organization on top of incentives announced as part of the 2022 budgetary allocations, with the balance consisting of interest-free loans.
