DescriptionAnnounced that it would purchase 450 000 tonnes of rice from the 2022 harvest, between 31 August and 31 December 2022. This would represent a 100 000 tonne increase from the volumes procured in previous years to refurbish reserves and stabilize prices, with the purchase campaign also brought forward by about two weeks. Of the total, 10 000 tonnes of rice would serve as the country's contribution to the ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR).
