DescriptionRaised the minimum support price (MSP) for fine long grain paddy produced in the Southern region (except Paraná) during the 2022/23 season by 12.7 percent to BRL 906 (USD 164) per tonne, while for all other regions the MSP was set at BRL 1 039 (USD 188) per tonne, up 23.3 percent from previously applicable levels. The MSPs for long grain paddy were left unchanged at 2021/22 levels of BRL 411 (USD 75) per tonne for the Southern region (except Paraná) and of BRL 448 (USD 81) per tonne for all other regions. The revised rates would be applicable between February 2022 and January 2023.
