DescriptionLaunched the Fuel Discount Voucher Programme for maize. Fuel discount cash cards containing PHP 3 000 (USD 56) were distributed to the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture-listed maize farmers. A total of PHP 500 million (USD 9.3 million) was allocated to maize producers who own and operate agricultural machinery either individually or through a farm organization, cooperative or association. This subsidy must be used to buy gasoline or diesel from participating or accredited gasoline stations.
