DescriptionLowered the retail price of a 50 kg bag of 100% broken rice from XOF 22 500 (USD 0.72 per kg) to XOF 17 500 (USD 0.56 per kg) and the price of a 50 kg bag of 5% broken rice from XOF 24 000 (USD 0.77 per kg) to XOF 22 500 (USD 0.72 per kg). Press reports suggest that it would extend subsidy payments to rice importers in order to implement the price reduction.
