DescriptionApproved a total of 1.03 million tonnes of non-basmati white rice exports to seven countries through the National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL), as an exception to the export ban on this type of rice put in place in July 2023. The volumes consist of 95 000 tonnes destined to Nepal, 190 000 tonnes to Cameroon, 142 000 tonnes to Côte d'Ivoire, 142 000 tonnes to Guinea, 170 000 tonnes to Malaysia, 295 000 tonnes to the Philippines and 800 tonnes to Seychelles.
